In an era of extraordinary opportunities within the space sector, the European Union’s Horizon Europe program has opened doors for innovative, forward-thinking businesses, particularly start-ups and SMEs in Europe. The Horizon 2020 project’s GIESEPP MP, Horizon Europe project’s DEEP PPU, and CHEOPS VHP BB teams have joined together to deliver a very interesting webinar aimed at all SMEs across Europe who aim to develop and collaborate with Europe’s space industry leaders in the context of Horizon Europe projects and beyond. This webinar is designed to provide valuable insights and practical information on how SMEs can participate in and benefit from collaboration with space industry leaders, how to establish effective collaboration in the scope of EU-funded projects.
This webinar is prepared by three EU-funded projects – Horizon 2020 project GIESEPP MP, Horizon Europe projects DEEP PPU and CHEOPS VHP BB. Organizations involved in these projects will share their insights and the relevant added value they are looking for, to approach new collaborations with SMEs and start-ups in Europe. They will also shortly introduce the SMEs and start-ups to the main objectives of these projects as case studies for collaboration with SMEs. Such industry leader as Airbus Crisa (Spain), Safran (France), ArianeGroup (Germany) will provide their insights. In addition, the webinar attendees will be able to hear a case study of one SME involved in the Horizon Europe project DEEP PPU. A small company based in Slovenia – Fraza will share their experience.

About the projects
GIESEPP MP (Horizon 2020 project, grant agreement No 101004349). The goal of the consortium is to deliver a tested and validated product that customers can buy off the shelf but at the same time can easily be adapted to individual needs. www.gieseppmp.eu
DEEP PPU (Horizon Europe project, grant agreement No 101082685). The DEEP-PPU consortium will develop a disruptive Power Processing Unit for medium and high-power GIT. The project is a natural continuation of GIESEPP-MP, where a first step has been taken to develop a power supply for the screen grid and integrate it within the current PPU design for ArianeGroup RIT-2X thruster. www.deepppu.eu
CHEOPS VHP BB (Horizon Europe project, grant agreement No 101082532). The main objective of this project is to design, develop and test overall system architecture against these various mission use cases. The project CHEOPS VHP BB complements ongoing thruster-focused development activities with research and development on the future use of very high-power Hall thruster systems. www.cheopsvhpbb.eu
